Surrender

When we resist the work that God desires to do in our hearts, it is not possible to live a life of surrender. In the same sense, when we aren't living a life of surrender, we are ultimately rebelling against the perfect will of God. In order for the Lord to work out HIS plans for our lives, WE have to relinquish ALL control.

In our hearts, we must live by His word where Jesus himself cried out to His Father and said, "not MY will, but THINE be done" (Luke 22:42 KJV). In His deepest moments of agony He FULLY surrendered to the will of His Father. Jesus knew that death MUST come to His FLESH in order for NEW, RESURRECTED, VICTORIOUS life to spring forth.

The same goes for us. WE, just like Jesus must "die" out to our fleshly desires so that the LORD'S perfect will can be accomplished IN US and THROUGH US. The Apostle Paul said, "I die daily." DAILY.

Are we walking in the paths that GOD has set before us? Or are we allowing our flesh to stand in the way of the WORK God has ordained for our lives?

He never promised that our walk would be easy, but I can promise you this, there will NEVER be anything we face more painful than what Jesus faced. There will never be ANY sacrifice greater than the sacrifice Jesus made for us and there will never be another who will walk with us the way Jesus does. He's with us in every step.

Yes, those steps of obedience will be painful at times. There will be sacrifices He asks of us that seem confusing to our flesh, but there will never be a sacrifice greater than what HE has ALREADY made FOR us.

What we're sacrificing TODAY, will be our covering for TOMORROW. He may be asking you to give up some things, but he has plans to restore them back to you even GREATER than before.

There is no victory without the cross. There is no resurrection without death to some things, and there is no comfort without spiritual CHANGE.

He has great plans but WE must open our hearts and be WILLING to RECEIVE all He desires to accomplish in our lives!
