Alone with Him

As a close friend and I were talking last night, we talked about how sometimes God has to strip you down to NOTHING so that HE can become your EVERYTHING. It boggles my mind sometimes to think about the things that God has to use, just to get our attention.

When life is going great, and we're flying high on the mountain top, we don't feel that deep desperation for God like we do when we're deep down in a valley. When things are going "our way", we don't feel such a pull to deep prayer. It's in those times of desperation that we draw close to Him.

In our loneliest hour, HE is right there with us, to give us hope, peace and comfort. Even when we can't "feel" Him, He's right there. If we'll only take our eyes off of our pain and place our focus on the one who can take every pain away, we would find that He's been waiting for us all along. To turn to Him, to lean on Him, to trust Him.

Whatever you may be facing today, Jesus is your Shepherd. He sees every time you go astray and He comes and leads you safely back to His side. He sees every moment you hurt. He sees every tear you cry. He is not blind to your pain. He is not deaf to your prayers. He sees, He hears, He cares. You are His child and He has your very best interest at heart. It's up to us to give our every care over to Him and allow Him to soothe our souls.

Trust Him, my friend. He has your entire life in His hands and He's working in ways that you can't see or understand. In time, He WILL bring it to pass. Until then, have some alone time with Him. He longs for it.
