Sincerely HIS Prisoner

My Pastor said something this morning that really moved me. Ephesians 4:1 says: I therefore, the PRISONER of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,. He said, "are you a prisoner or are you a visitor?" That statement is powerful.

Have you allowed God to completely arrest you and your life? To be a prisoner means to be held captive or confined. One meaning of being arrested means to catch and keep one's attention. God wants us to be completely CAPTIVATED by him. He wants us to be CONFINED to Him and Him only. He wants our love and affection. He wants our entire heart. He doesn't ask for much. He honestly doesn't. He gave up his life, he shed his blood, he freed us from EVERY sin that could ever bind us, and all he wants in exchange is our hearts.

Have you allowed God to be your heart's sole desire? Have you allowed him into every part of who you are? He hasn't called us to live for him half way. He didn't sacrifice half of himself. HE gave his ENTIRE life, JUST for us. He loves us SO very much. His grace is more than we can fathom. His mercies reach higher than heaven. His love is deeper than the ocean. He is overwhelming and WE are the apple of His eye. We are so undeserving but he loves us all the same.

Every imperfection, every flaw, every mistake, he's already paid the price for them all. He has already won the victory over death, hell and the grave. There's absolutely nothing that we can face that he hasn't ALREADY given us the victory over.

We may be his prisoners, but in Christ ALONE are we FREE INDEED. In Him, is the only way to true freedom. In Him alone are we made overcomers. In Him alone are we made conquerors. In Him alone are we FOUND. In Him alone are we healed. He's already done it. The question is, will we accept it?

Prisoners for Him, FREE forevermore. What a MIGHTY God we serve. In Him alone can we be bound to him, yet free from all the cares of this life. Give him your heart. Let him put you under arrest. It will be the greatest thing you will ever do in your entire life. Will it be easy? NO. Will it be worth it? OH YES!!! For when we see Him face to face, there's NOTHING that could ever compare!
