Behind the Scenes

Ever had a time in your life where you're working to make something happen and it feels like everything that CAN go wrong DOES? Well, I've had a time like this recently. Thankfully, I can laugh about it now lol. After all the "problems" I had, what I had been working toward, actually flowed effortlessly. It was perfect.

No one SAW all the "behind the scenes" work that went into it. They didn't see all the problems I ran into. They didn't see how many obstacles were in my way, just to get it done. After it was all said and done, God spoke to me through that experience.

Alot of the time, this is how God works. We don't SEE the "behind the scenes" work he's doing to bring our desires to pass. We don't SEE the obstacles that he's orchestrating JUST for our lives so that HIS perfect plan can come together. We don't SEE the tiniest details that he's working out for us. Behind the scenes. All we see and sometimes all we really want is the finished product. We lose patience in the process. We get frustrated when things don't come together how WE think they should or in our timing. We just want to hurry and get to our end result.

How much do we miss? How much do we forfeit because of our frustrations? How many times do we miss what God is trying to do in THIS moment, because we're busy focusing on THAT moment. How often do we focus on what's broken rather than looking at all God has pieced back together in our lives?

If God gave us all we wanted with the snap of a finger, we'd never be truly grateful for anything. Even more so, we'd never learn all he so desires to teach us throughout our journey. He has so much to teach us. So much to show us. So much to say to us. So much for us to do. The question is, will we slow down long enough to hear him, feel him and experience him at work in our lives? Or will be breeze on by at OUR own pace, simply because we want what's at our finish line?

The race isn't given to the swift, but to those who ENDURE. Endure the race WITH him, FOR HIM and allow him to show you the way. Even though we may not see what's coming, when we know who holds our life, it really doesn't matter. He has our very best interest at heart and he'd never steer us wrong.

I'm so very thankful tonight that my heavenly Father knows the way and he's leading me on each and every day.
