Dealing with the Pain

Different people handle pain in MANY different ways. There are physical pains AND emotional pains. Both can have a lasting, debilitating effect on us if we allow the pain to continue. Alot of the time, we do things that will only MASK the pain. We try things that help us COPE with the pain. It's easier that way. Rooting out the very core of the thing that is ailing us, well, that's a different story.

Sometimes we don't even know that we're actually hurting, sometimes we do know that we're hurting but don't know HOW to heal. Allow me to help you.

Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:4‭-‬5 KJV

True, everlasting healing from EVERY pain, is IN JESUS. He knew grief, he was a man of MANY sorrows, DEEPLY affected, WELL acquainted with suffering. He was WOUNDED for OUR transgressions, he was BRUISED for OUR iniquities, the attack on OUR peace was upon HIM, and with HIS stripes WE are healed.

Our healing has ALREADY been accomplished at Calvary. How do we receive it? How do we come to the knowledge or revelation of his healing power? It's IN HIM. In HIS spirit. The ONLY way for those things to be revealed is for HIS spirit to DWELL within us.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

1 Corinthians 2:10‭-‬12 KJV

Through his spirit, that comes to live within our hearts, is what will set our hearts, minds AND bodies FREE from EVERY pain. When we make up our minds to turn from our sins and repent, are baptized in JESUS name and receive the GIFT of the holy ghost, at THAT moment, God's work in us BEGINS.

He has a process. He works on us and through us and in time, his spirit, will reveal to us ALL things. Even the deepest hurts that we'd prefer to just hide away. He will take every pain, every care, every burden from us, but WE have to make the choice to surrender it to him and allow his healing power to make us whole. To heal every broken piece of who we are and to rid us of every piece of who we USED to be.

It's not easy. It will take time, effort, sacrifice and commitment but there's no greater reward than being able to live in the FREEDOM of true victory over every pain that comes our way.
