Faithful in Little

O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.

Psalms 31:23-24 KJV

I want to talk about faithfulness today. Not in a fleshly way, but in how we're faithful to God. All that God does for us, each and every day. He's there by our side, walking with us, EVERY step. There to pick us up when we fall, there to hear our every prayer. There's NEVER a time that he ISN'T there. There's never a time that he doesn't help us to walk the paths he's laid before us. There's never a time that he's forsaken us, even when we fail him.

How are we measuring up? This is a question I'm asking myself as well. Many times in scripture, God's people were spoken of as FAITHFUL, and how he preserved, kept, blessed the FAITHFUL.

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Luke 16:10 KJV

What "little" thing has God given you to be faithful in? It may seem little in our eyes, but to God, it's his test as to what we can be trusted with. Can he trust us in the little tests and trials he asks us to walk through? Can he trust us to remain faithful to him, even when our flesh is screaming for us to do the opposite? Can he trust us to be in his house every opportunity we have? Can he trust us to praise him and bring him glory, even when we don't FEEL like things in our lives are all they "should" be? Can he trust us to bring him OUR firstfruits? Can HE trust US?

Of course we can trust in HIM. There's absolutely no doubt about the faithfulness of God. What are we bringing to him in return? Are we solely takers? Or are we giving of ourselves to him in return? Do we glorify God in ALL we do? Do we share his love with those he's placed in our lives? Do we minister to people who need to know about his saving power? Are we GIVING to God and his people what he has so graciously given to us? That's something to think about.

If HE can trust US, imagine what he could do IN us and THROUGH us. This walk isn't easy. He never promised an easy road but HE alone gives us the strength to remain faithful through it all. It's ultimately up to us what we do with what he's given us. He's already given his life for us, he just wants our love and FAITHFULNESS in return.

There's so many excuses Jesus could have come up with that day he went to the cross, but he remained faithful TO US until the very end. Let's do the same for him!!!
