We Are Not Our Own

Our lives are not our OWN. Even more so, we don't truly OWN anything. For it to be true that we owned or possessed anything, that would mean that it was eternal, that it's not possible for us to lose it. Everything in this world and everything OF the world is only temporary.

But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

Acts 20:24 KJV

The only ETERNAL, lasting thing that we can actually POSSESS, is the spirit of God, the holy ghost. Everything else, every material thing and every relationship we have to hold with open hands. What has been given to us, can always be taken away but we have a HOPE in Jesus, knowing that when we live a holy, righteous life, that his spirit that dwells inside of us, is something we can HOLD ONTO and treasure into eternity.

Don't let the cares, burdens and worries of this life bring you down, in the big picture, they're only temporary. I encourage anyone and everyone to seek and find a RELATIONSHIP with Jesus and let him bless you with ETERNAL things. Don't place value on things of this world, place ALL value in things of God.

In him is where all treasures lie. In his kingdom is where we will reap all reward. Through the holy ghost, he will bless your heart above and beyond anything you could ever imagine.

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 6:19‭-‬21 KJV

Let your heart be set on reaching heaven! Let your heart be set on loving the one who died to free you from every sin! Let your heart be set on things ABOVE! There is where the TRUE reward lies! In eternity with the one who loved us so much that he freely gave his life, knowing we would never be able to repay him. THAT is love.
