The Anchor Holds

Just like a ship with no anchor, when we're not ROOTED and GROUNDED in God and God alone, any storm that comes our way will drive us away from him.

When storms come, we HAVE to KNOW our anchor. If we don't know who he is, if we don't have a relationship with him, how can we lean on him when the storms of life get rough? If we're not digging into his word, seeking him day and night in prayer and being faithful to his house, we can't be surprised when a storm comes and blindsides us.

When our roots are DEEP, when WE have put forth that effort to ground ourselves and build our foundation in God, THEN is when we will not be swayed or shaken by the winds that try to destroy our vessels. Storms are a part of life but it's WHO we have as the CAPTAIN of our vessels that's going to take us through. We can't face anything in this life without his help. We can't even WALK without him, let alone walk through a storm.

I encourage you today, get grounded in prayer, learn to STAND, ON YOUR KNEES. Get grounded in His word. Get grounded in His house. Be consistent and faithful in your relationship with Him. It's only then that you'll come to know who He really is. He desires that closeness with us. He desires the kind of relationship with us that nothing in this world can hinder it or destroy it. He desires us to have that walk with Him that's so strong that our storms don't cause us to drift away but draw us that much closer to Him.

He's holding you through it all. Even when we can't "feel" it. Even when we can't see it. Even when we don't understand. He's there and he loves us. He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us. His hand is always outstretched, waiting for us to reach out to Him. He will help you every step of your journey. Reach out to Him. He will see you through every care of this life.

Our anchor holds, despite the storms!
