The Season of Contentment

When we think God isn't working, is when he's actually creating a masterpiece for us that we could never paint for ourselves.

When we attempt to make our own lives into what WE think it should be, or when WE think our lives could be better if we just had that ONE thing that's missing, is when we become ungrateful. Alot of times it's so easy to fall into that trap. The enemy plants seeds of doubt and negativity in our minds and if we're not careful, WE will actually water those seeds and cause them to grow so much bigger when in all reality we should have never allowed them to be planted and take root in the first place.

The Apostle Paul sets an awesome example for us to follow in Philippians 4.

Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Philippians 4:11‭-‬12 KJV

He was CONTENT in ALL things, in all situations, in all circumstances. His missionary work was world changing and yet he still suffered greatly for the cause of Christ. Not once do we ever read where he cursed or turned away from God because of the trials and tribulations he faced. He was a GOOD soldier for Christ. He didn't face his battles in the state of mind that he'd already been defeated. He faced his battles KNOWING that he could do ALL things THROUGH CHRIST who STRENGTHENED him.

Today, I encourage you to be content in whatever situation you find yourself in. Whatever it may be, God has already worked it out. He's already won the battle. Alot of times, we complicate his process by THINKING too much. He just wants us to be still and trust his plan.

Put God first, seek him in ALL things, love him with your WHOLE heart, and he WILL add every other thing to you. He didn't say he might, he said ALL THINGS WILL BE added unto you.

Seek his kingdom. Work for his kingdom. Seek his perfect will. Seek out what he's trying to do IN you in this season. Don't get in such a hurry trying to get to the NEXT thing that you miss what he's wanting to do IN you and through you RIGHT NOW.
