No Baggage Allowed

The same way that we battle things in our flesh, there are also levels that we can go to in the spirit, that will cause us to outgrow those things.

Let me say that again. The things we battle with in our flesh, the things we wrestle with, there are levels we can go to in God where those things CAN'T come with us!

It's up to us to reach for those new heights in God. He's not going to give something to us that were not reaching for. He's not going to give something to us that were not working for and fighting for every single day. He's not going to shock us with it like a lightning bolt from heaven. Going deeper in God and walking in another level in the spirit requires deeper prayer, more fasting, deeper commitment, less comfort, more sacrifice, more self denial, more zeal and responsibility. 

That next level God wants to take you to, you can't take everything with you. Some fleshly baggage has to be shed. Some emotional weights have to be lifted and released from your heart. Some dead things have to be buried in order for new life to spring up. 

We can't move into our future with God by holding on to the past. There are so many things God wants to do for us and through us, but it is UP TO US to ALLOW him to work. It's up to us to reach for and press toward that mark of our HIGH calling. 

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:13‭-‬14 KJV

We all have a purpose and God always has a plan. He wants for each of us to REACH our full potential in him, with him and THROUGH him. I encourage you today to keep pushing! Keep pressing! and when God asks you to lay something down, whether it be physical, mental, emotional or any other thing, lay it down. Where he's taking you, you won't need it!
